Writing articles is my favourite way of driving traffic to my web site. All it takes is thirty to fifty minutes to write one article. Then I submit it to my favourite Ezine directory Ezinearticles and then that article will drive traffic to my web site for years to come. You need hundreds of articles to make this strategy work though and many people do not get significant results after writing one article and give up. Also make sure that you have the keywords that you are targeting in the title and at least three times in the body.

You can use forum marketing to drive traffic to your web site. Search using Google for forums related to your niche register and create a signature with your unique selling proposition. Contribute regularly to the forums posting questions and answers. Over a period of time other forum members will begin to trust you. However, it is very important not to spam the forums as this will damage your reputation.

Reciprocal linking can be very effective in driving traffic to your web site. Search for other web sites related to your niche not competing directly with you and email them asking to exchange links with you. I suggest you put their link up first and check in a few weeks to make sure that they have linked back to you.

Email signatures is basically the one overlooked method of driving free traffic to your web site that you can implement immediately. The P.S. in an email is the second most read part of the email. So basically all you have to do is add your message to your signature in the P.S. part using an effective headline.

Traffic swarm has always worked well for me as a traffic exchange. You need to target your adverts to the niche you are focusing on, create an effective advert for users to click on and a squeeze page with very good advertising copy.
